A Place for 360 Austin Condo Residents to Share
March 9, 2009
People seem to prefer the Yahoo group for communication. I am going to clean up this blog and incorporate any important info from the message threads there:Yahoo Groups. Join the Yahoo group to chat with neighbors there if you wish.
January 16, 2009 Management has declared the water pressure issue resolved. Some folks received this message from Kenny Peterson:
"We have been able to fix the water pressure problem and have discovered the source of the issue as well. In addition to this we were able to find a quick repair to this should the software issue happen again. (Isn`t technology grand?!) The best part of this is that it only required a 10 second shut off of the water. Please stay in touch with us and inform us of any reoccurrence of this type of issue - we will do our best to fix this as quickly as possible in the future. Thank you very much for your patience and we are very grateful to our wonderful residents at 360 Condominiums!"
January 14, 2009 The Board Election was held last night. Brian Queenin was elected to a three year term. Krystle Copulos was elected to a two year term. Michael Jones was elected to a one year term.
There is a lively discussion on Yahoo Groups. Join to chat with neighbors there.

Has anyone used a product besides those being pushed at Texas Sun and Shade?
I have contracted with Texas Integrated Systems for motorized shades for my living room. They haven't been installed as yet. But I'm happy with the lighting I got from them this week.
My contact is:
Scott C Moser
C: 512.844.9834
O: 512.292.0656 x119
F: 512.292.6895
He'll be glad to give you an alternative bid.
Your shade material will have to be approved by the board.
Texas Sun & Shade DO NOT USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We recently had our screens done for 12G's! The quality of screen is good yet the labor, finishings are very ghetto to say the least. The staff is horribly unprofessional. Never did receive a follow-up call. The installing guys are idiots and too comfortable for their britches. Offensive and HORRIFIC!! Use somebody else.
FYI - Texas Sun and Shade has poor craftmanship. The cocking is bubbling, the shades are crocked, there is plaster left on the ceiling, and the drilled holes in the gypsum board are untreated - it looks really bad. And they took all day (7 pm) to install them. I also heard there is a 3 month waiting list - look around, they are just cranking them out for the money...go somewhere else.
Linda, are you happy with the work you had done? We are required to use materials with a silver back, is that correct? Did the board approve something different for you? I have gotten a quote from Texas Sun and shade and have not be thrilled with my conversations with them.
There is a 'shade range' of silver that must show at the back. The board approved two swatches for us...they were different on the front and back although the backs were very similar. Not 'astronaut silver' though. Ugh. I'm pretty happy with the work from TIS. I had a couple of complaints they've fixed and they are coming back for one more tweak. They were responsive to work with and they were as nice as they could be about getting caught up in the flood and having to evacuate and leave their tools and climb up and finish the next day and also take their tools out without elevators! I absolutely LOVE the track lights I got from them and my AV stuff is now all in, too, and working well.
My Texas Integrated Systems shades are almost, almost, tantalizingly close to done. The DC motor is certainly very quiet.
When it is windy can anyone else hear the wind whistling through some of the windows?
