Board of Directors

Note: The 2009 directors were elected. Brian Queenin was elected to a three year term. Krystle Copulos was elected to a two year term. Michael Jones was elected to a one year term. Residents will find their e-mail addresses on Novare Connect. The offices will be held as follows:
President: Brian Queenin
Vice President: Krystle Copulos
Sec'y/Treasurer: Michael Jones

I will leave bios below for future reference. I have saved the final PDF issued by management before the election.

Brian Queenin has offered himself as a candidate. His resumé is here. (This is a Word doc.)

Other candidates that I know of are: Dr. Andrea Pana (her resume is here) and Michael Jones.

Warren James is also running and his resumé is here. (This is a Word doc, too.)

Robin Johnston is also running and her resume is here. (Also a Word doc.)

There is now a handout at the front desk about the election. The election will be in the club room not in the management office. (Which has room for maybe three people!)

First, I want to thank all of the candidates for wanting to take on this responsibility. Second, I have few questions for each in advance of the vote.

1. The current fines for noise violations are inadequate to be a deterrent. Would you favor a substantial increase and if not, why?

2. What are your proposals for enforcing the no glass rule and guest limit at the pool?

3. Do you have any general or specific ideas for maintaining/improving our community?

I would add:
4) We have a large "handoff" negotiation coming up with the developer as they hand the building over to the HOA. What prior experience do you have with contract negotiations either within or outside the real estate industry?

The chance for candidates to respond to questions is fading. However, management has proposed a 'meet and greet' before the election at 5PM...starting at 4PM. So if you haven't talked to candidates directly this might be a chance!

I agree that contract negotiation would be an excellent skill to look for in our candidates as well as independence from the developer.
